De retour en France, il se passionne pour la course à pied, enchaîne marathons et ultra-trails, puis se tourne vers l’alpinisme. Depuis, il a gravi des sommets mythiques comme le Mont-Blanc, le Kilimandjaro, le Mont Ararat ou encore le Pic Lénine.
