“I would like to portray that you can take up space—that you should take up space. That it’s okay to chase your curiosities. And that women can do science, and do science well.” #FWIS2022 fellow Dr. Ashburn is a neuroscientist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

L'Oréal's For Women in Science program was created out of a simple belief: the world needs science, and science needs women because women in science have the power to change the world. 2022 marks the 19th year of the L'Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program, which to-date has recognized 95 postdoctoral scientists and invested nearly $5 million to advance critical research in a diverse array of science fields. #FWIS2022
